Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors Requesting Speed Study for Climax Road

Pittsylvania Co., VA-- After many people who live in Chatam expressed concerns about tractor trailers on Climax Road, the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors is doing something about it.In their meeting on Monday, they unanimously voted to ask the Virginia Department of Transportation to do a speed study on the road and lower the speed limits.The county wants the speed limit lowered to 40 mph for tractor-trailers and 45 mph an hour for passenger vehicles.The study will also include Greenpond Road, Piney Road, Double Bridge Road and Anderson Mill Road.
