Pittsylvania Co., VA - Supervisors in Pittsylvania County have decided to continue their fight over prayers at board meetings.
Back in March, a federal judge issued an injunction barring supervisors from opening their meetings with prayers associated with any one religion.
Tuesday night, in a unanimous vote, the board voted to appeal the ruling.
State Senator Bill Stanley is representing the county and says the notice of appeal will be filed within the next week.
The ACLU filed a lawsuit against the board in 2011, on behalf of a woman named Barbara Hudson.
