Pattie is proud to have anchored Good Morning Virginia since 1998. GMV was recognized as the best morning show in the state by the Virginia Association of Broadcasters three years in a row.
Pattie started at WSET after graduating from college. Her first job was behind the scenes running camera, audio and eventually directing the 6:00 and 11:00pm shows.
Pattie eventually went to work in the news department as the assignment editor and reporter. One of her favorite assignments was covering the transition of VMI from a single-sex institution to a co-ed college.
Pattie works with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and is one of the co-hosts of the yearly telethon. She's currently on the board of the United Way's Success By Six program and in a past board member of the Virginia School of the Arts.
Pattie was also a member of the Junior League. She recently volunteered on a Habitat for Humanity project and is looking forward to becoming more involved with that organization.
In her off time Pattie enjoys spending time with her husband and her son, reading, walking and spending quiet evenings with friends. Pattie grew up in Dallas, Texas, and likes to head back for a visit with her parents as often as possible.
