Passenger Traffic Down at Lynchburg Regional Airport
Lynchburg, VA - Passenger traffic dropped at Lynchburg Regional Airport in August, but the director says the airport's budget didn't take a hit.
When comparing numbers from August of last year to August of this year, the airport is reporting a 5.2% decline in passenger traffic.
Airport director Mark Courtney says revenues didn't falter, since most of the August passengers were business travelers who paid higher fares.
Courtney says when comparing the year-to-date totals, the airport is seeing about a 1% decline in traffic this year.
