Pittsylvania Co., VA - The Olde Dominion Agricultural Agriculture Complex in Chatham is full of four- legged friends this weekend.
The Danville Kennel Club partnered with the club out of Durham North Carolina for a four-day agility trial. Thursday was the first day.
Organizers said they'll have more than 300 dogs participating. The event was open to all breeds. The dogs compete based on shoulder height, and had several different types of challenges including jumps and tunnels.
"It's fun with your dog, it's getting out and exercising and having fun, so it's a good excuse to keep people and dogs off the couch," said Paige Wiseman, the agility chairperson for the Danville Kennel Club.
The agility trials are open to the public. It will be going on from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and then until 2 p.m. on Sunday.
