N.Y. Giant Rashad Jennings Gives Back to Lynchburg
By Dennis Carter
New York Giants running back and Lynchburg native Rashad Jennings is back home this weekend and he's gonna be busy. After an autograph signing Friday night, he'll host a free youth football camp Saturday at Linkhorne Middle School from 9 'til 2 for campers grades 8 through 12. Walk-up registration is Saturday morning at 8. And then Sunday, the Rashad Jennings Foundation is hosting a free Family Fun Fest from 4 'til 8 at Miller Park. Jennings' Camp 180 is so named for the big turnaround he made in his life. Rashad Jennings, N.Y. GIANTS RUNNING BACK, said "The fat chubby kid with the little red-rim glasses, you know I had a .6 GPA average and really didn't have that much on the up-and-up in my life. I rode the bench in high school football for a majority of it until I transferred to L.C.A. and got my shot."You can see a full interview with Jennings at wset.com.
