NTSB Releases Preliminary Report on Topping Plane Crash
Topping, VA - The National Transportation Safety Board has released its preliminary report about a plane crash that killed two people including a Christiansburg man.
It found the Cessna had substantial damage after it hit the ground in Topping back on July 6th just after takeoff.
No flight plan had been filed.
Several eyewitnesses told the NTSB the plane never gained altitude and made two landing attempts before the crash.
Investigators also found no problems with the plane.
58-year-old Stephen Myers and 48-year-old Misty McIntyre were killed in the crash.
