North Carolina Man Sentenced for Christiansburg Murder
Christiansburg, VA - A North Carolina man who admitted to killing his girlfriend's husband in Montgomery County will spend 40 years in prison.
Donald Walker was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty to first degree murder in July. Walker ambushed Matthew McPeak in December of 2010 and stabbed him to death. McPeak's estranged wife Danielle had threatened to kill him if he got custody of the children. A judge awarded him custody in November and he was dead a month later.
Danielle McPeak was already sentenced to 40 years for her role.
