Chatham, VA - Today was the grand opening of the Pittsylvania County History Research Center and Library.
The new branch of the Pittsylvania County library system opened in the former Chatham train depot on Whitehead Street.
Restoration of the building cost more than one million dollars.
The center features local historic relics including books, military uniforms and photographs.
The branch will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM. Admission is free.
