New Danville Fire Station Held Up By Snow

Danville, VA - Work is well underway at the new Danville Fire Department headquarters, but snow slowed them down by about a month.

The Department has been working for years to get this project underway. The 911 call center is about 70% complete and the fire station is about 40% complete. They still need to put bricks up on the fire department, finish the roof, and work on the interior.
"It's really exciting, this is a 20-year dream that is finally coming true," said Chief Ronnie Harvey, Danville Fire Department.
Crews expect to have the call center ready by summer and the fire station complete by August.
