UPDATE: Man Charged in Near Head-on Crash in Bedford

Bedford, VA - A man is now charged in a nearly head-on crash in Bedford last week.

Police say John Adams was driving a Camry when he hit a Land Rover on Independence Boulevard last Monday.

Police say Adams is charged for not staying on his side of the road.

Firefighters had to cut the top off the car to get to the three men inside the car.

They were all taken the hospital, along with the driver of the SUV.


Bedford, VA - Four people were taken to the hospital after a nearly head-on crash on Independence Boulevard in Bedford Monday afternoon.Police believe the driver of a Toyota Camry John Adams, 22, of Lynchburg, crossed the center line and hit a Land Rover driven by Antonio Giambanco, 18, of Forest.Firefighters had to cut the top off the car to get to Adams.Both drivers and two passengers in the Camry went to the hospital, but police say their injuries are not life-threatening.Charges are pending.
