NCAA Baseball Regional Action - Monday, June 3

South Carolina 6, Liberty 4 - USC advances to Super Regional - Sunday suspended game picked up Monday afternoon, the Gamecocks scored two in the fifth to increase their lead to 6-2. The Flames scored one in the 8th, one in the 9th and had the tying run on base. But the Gamecocks hold on for the 6-4 win.

North Carolina 12, Florida Atlantic 11 (13) - Trailing 6-2 in the top of the 9th, Florida Atlantic erupted for 6 runs, including a grand slam to take an 8-6 lead, the Owls three outs away from upsetting the tournament's top national seed. But the Tar Heels scored two in the 9th to force extra innings. Florida Atlantic scored three in the top of the 12th to take the lead 11-8, only for Carolina to again rally to tie the game, scoring three in the bottom of the 12th. Carolina then won it by scoring in the bottom of the 13th. UNC will host South Carolina in a Super Regional this coming weekend.

UVa will host Mississippi State in a Super Regional. The Bulldogs beat Central Arkansas 6-1.

Also, Vanderbilt advances with a 7-1 win over Georgia Tech.

And Rice knocked out Oregon 11-4.
