Naturalization Ceremony Held in Lynchburg

Lynchburg, VA - Thirty people took the oath of allegiance in downtown Lynchburg, Friday.
Each of the 30 people received a certificate of naturalization and an American flag to take home.Congressman Bob Goodlatte attended and spoke at the event.
Pierre Idore came to the U.S. from Haiti as a young child.He never visited his home country but knows that life is tough for many that still live there.
"I've got a place to stay, a job to go to and I get 3 square meals, most of these people don't have a meal and if they do they don't know when their next one is coming, " said Idore, a Naturalized Citizen.
"I wanted to come and welcome them and congratulate them and talk to them not only about the freedoms that they enjoy here but also about the responsibilities they have as a United States Citizen, " said Congressman Bob Goodlatte.
There were 20 different countries represented at the ceremony.
