Nathan Norman has had the Christmas season he's always wanted, from getting hundreds of gifts to being the grand marshal in the Lynchburg parade.
Friday night, the 5-year-old Rustburg boy fighting cancer got perhaps his biggest honor yet. He joined Gov. Bob McDonnell in Richmond where Nathan got to flip the switch for the Christmas tree lighting in the capitol.
Nathan arrived at the capitol by carriage from the executive mansion with his family after meeting first responders who had lined up to greet him.
The ride into Richmond was also special; the Norman Family received a state police motorcade escort to the mansion.
