NAACP asks Goodlatte to Help Pass Voting Rights Amendment Act

Roanoke, VA - The Roanoke branch of the NAACP is publicly asking Congressman Bob Goodlatte to help pass the Voting Rights Amendment Act.{} The group held a press conference Wednesday morning and talked about the need to protect Virginia voters from discrimination.The NAACP wants Goodlatte to hold a hearing the issue. This comes one year after the Supreme Court invalidated a key part of the Voting Rights Act. The high court asked Congress to revise it.
