Lovingston, VA - A grand jury believes there's probable cause for the man accused of abducting Alexis Murphy to go on trial.
According to a news release from the Nelson County Commonwealth's Attorney, Randy Taylor was indicted on two felonies Tuesday morning; abducting Murphy and a new, unrelated charge for possessing a stolen ATV.
When reached by phone, Murphy's mother says she's 'relieved' the case against Randy Taylor is moving forward.
"I just want him, Randy Taylor, to know -- just tell the truth. The truth is more important than anything. Just tell the truth," pleaded Laura Murphy.
Murphy added that she doesn't believe the new 'person-of-interest' is involved in her daughter's abduction, and says investigators have told her he claims he has no idea who Randy Taylor is.
Taylor is scheduled to be back in court on October 23 to set a trial date.
