Multiple Sites Added to Virginia's Landmark Registry

Roanoke, VA - A number of places in our area made the cut for the newest additions to Virginia's Landmark Registry.

Included on the list is the Roanoke River and Railroad Historic area.

That area plays a major role in the city's history which includes several old buildings that used to house some of the many lumber mills and iron works that sprang up around the railroad.

Also listed are Three Chimneys in Nelson County, the original buildings of Ferrum College and four sites in Bath County including The Homestead.
