UPDATE: Medical Examiner Confirms Body Found in Pigg River Was Missing Man

?Pittsylvania Co., VA -- The office of the Medical Examiner in Roanoke confirmed the body recovered from Pigg River Monday evening was the body of the missing North Carolina man.State police say they do not suspect foul play in the death of 44-year-old Jason W. Fuller.------------------------------------------------------State Police discovered a body Monday night during their search for a North Carolina man whose car was found abandoned in Pittsylvania County.Investigators say shortly after 6 Monday night State Police said search teams discovered a body in the Pigg River in Pittsylvania County.The remains were transported to the Medical Examiner for an autopsy and identification.State Police said the search for 44-year-old Jason Fuller was suspended at dusk but they are investigating the incident.---------------------------------------------------------------- State Police and Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Deputies are searching for a missing North Carolina man after two brothers found his car abandoned on Toshes Road in Pittsylvania County. Police say 44-year-old Jason W. Fuller has been reported missing from Carrboro, North Carolina since Thursday, the same day that the car was believed to be abandoned in Pittsylvania County. Now authorities are trying to put together the pieces and hopefully find Jason Fuller.Since Dale Gray left church Sunday, he hasn't stopped praying."It's just a sad situation. I hope he is okay," says Dale Gray.Dale and his brother Kevin visited their parents' Sandy Level house Sunday afternoon. That's when their father mentioned an abandoned Volkswagen sedan, with North Carolina plates, that had been parked down the street for days."It's really strange, especially this neighborhood. You see passing cars, but something like this, you don't never see anything go on in that area," says Kevin Gray.When they went by, they found the windows rolled down, doors unlocked, and inside personal belongings like a wallet, cash, and even a cell phone."The cell phone rung, I went and grabbed the phone because I wanted to find out exactly whose call it was and a gentleman on the other side...said he was his boss and they had been looking for him since Thursday," says Kevin Gray.Dale says they also found evidence of a possible suicide including a note and pill bottles. State Police can't confirm, but they tell us Jason Fuller was reported last week as missing/endangered. They say they don't suspect foul play but don't know why he was in the area."It's bad, it's bad. I feel a lot of heartache for the family," says Gray.The car has since been taken away, replaced with a search crew."The car was sitting right in here in the taped in area," says Dale Gray.Now, this normally very quiet road has had plenty of activity and a lot of prayers.Fuller is about 5'10", weighs 160 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.
