UPDATE: Smith Mountain Lake, VA- The body of a missing Vinton man has been found in Smith Mountain Lake, according to the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries.73-year-old Ronald Lemons had been missing since the bass boat he was on collided with a Chris Craft cruiser boat a week ago. Crews located both boats using a specialized side scan sonar unit Friday night according to Sgt. Bryan Young with DGIF. Divers searched the area Saturday morning and located both boats and Lemons' body around 1 p.m.Sgt. Young says Lemons' body was recovered from the water and taken to the Medical Examiner's Office. Young said Conservation Police will search the area starting around 6 p.m. Thursday, when boat traffic is lighter.
