Lynchburg, VA - Renovations are on schedule for the Miller Center in Lynchburg.
Construction on the old Miller Park School building is expected to be complete by July or August.
The electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems were all upgraded and the roof has also been replaced.
There is also better handicap accessibility.
"It's just a great project and we look forward to being back in the midtown area and back in our neighborhood," said Kay Frazier with Lynchburg City Director of Parks & Recreation.
When the construction is complete, there will also be a new pedestrian crossing area along with easy access to Miller Park and the Nature Zone.
