Atlanta, VA - The death toll from last year's meningitis outbreak keeps on rising.
The CDC recently released its monthly update.
The latest death toll number is 61, up from 55 deaths released in last month's report.
The deaths are related to people who got sick after being injected with contaminated steroids last summer.
More than 700 others were affected with many still fighting for their lives.
In all, five Virginians have died so far from meningitis.
