Chatham, VA - Parents with kids in Pittsylvania County Schools will get a chance to sound off on proposed new security measures Monday Night.
Sheriff Mike Taylor announced a seven part initiative that would include adding surveillance cameras and metal detectors to county schools.
Also included in the plan would be an armed deputy at every school.
If the plan is pushed forward, taxpayers would fund many of the changes.
Tonight's meeting is at 7 p.m. at the Old Dominion Agricultural Complex in Chatham.
