McDonnell's Attorneys Meet With Prosecutors Following Gift Scandal
Richmond, VA - Governor Bob McDonnell and his family's attorneys have been meeting Monday with federal prosecutors trying to convince them that the couple should not be charged in the gift scandal, according to the Washington Post.
Prosecutors will decide within the next few weeks whether to move forward.
The governor has received more than $300,000 in gifts since 2002, most from Star Scientific CEO Jonnie Williams.
McDonnell says he has since repaid everything back to Williams.
