Lynchburg, VA - Governor McDonnell visited Lynchburg Monday, reviewing plans for the interchange project on Odd Fellows Road.
McDonnell stopped by V-DOT's Lynchburg District Office on Campbell Avenue.
The Commonwealth recently received a proposal to finance, design and build a new interchange along 460 at Odd Fellows Road, and widen Greenview Drive from two to four lanes.
Earlier, McDonnell stopped by CVCC and participated in a ribbon cutting for the Governor's STEM Academy there.
Later Monday, Governor McDonnell will be heading to Danville where he will help the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research with a groundbreaking.
This is the Institute's first official commercial venture.
Dan River Plants is spending 1.3 million dollars to move from the Institute to the Ringgold East Industrial Park.
The goal is for the new location to be up and running by next spring.
Dan River Plants is a lab that focuses on converting horticulture and grasses to bio-energy.
