Lynchburg - Maryland scored twice in the fifth inning to tie the game, then added single runs in the sixth and ninth to beat the Liberty Flames 4-2 in college baseball Wednesday afternoon at Liberty Baseball Stadium.
Liberty scored single runs in the first and third to grab a 2-0 lead but those were the only runs the Flames could muster. Pitcher Danny Grauer and catcher Trey Wimmer drove in LU's runs with rbi singles.
Maryland improves to 27-21 with the victory, the Flames drop to 26-21.
Liberty's next game is Sunday afternoon at 3 when it plays host to the Duke Blue Devils.
