Martinsville Police are Looking for a Bank Robbery Suspect

Martinsville, VA - Martinsville Police are looking for a man they say robbed a BB&T bank late Friday afternoon. Officers say around 5 p.m., officers responded to BB&T Bank at the corner of East Church Street and Ellsworth in Martinsville.

The bank reported that a black male wearing a white hat with green bill and writing, a Navy Blue jacket, glasses, a black and white striped shirt and white athletic shoes entered the bank and produced a note indicating a robbery.

The teller complied with the note and the man left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money walking towards Main Street. Another witness reported seeing the man walking up Main Street near the Ford Street intersection.
