Martinsville Has the Highest Jobless Rate in VA Again

Martinsville, VA - The city of Martinsville is back at number one with the highest jobless rate in the state in August.

The VEC says the unemployment rate in Martinsville was at 14.6%, up from 13% in July.

The Danville region had the highest unemployment rate among Virginia's metropolitan regions at 8.1%.

Arlington County had Virginia's lowest jobless rate, followed by Fairfax and Loudoun counties.
