Martinsville,VA-- A local Martinsville dealership has partnered with Patrick Henry Community College to help give some students great hands-on experience.
The community college just announced that Jim Mills Automotive will be donating late model cars to the school's automotive department.
The car dealership will allow students to basically take the cars apart and put them back to together again. They'll be learning how to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
"It's good to have them working on vehicles with the new technology, the new wiring systems, the computer systems, so they can get a hands on experience on what they will be faced with in the real world," said Wes Mills, executive manager of Jim Mills Automotive.
Students will receive a car for certain period of time during their course, once their done, they'll return it.
