There are very few flaws in Marshall Wood's game. At 6'8" and 210 pounds, the senior Red Devil can score from any point on the floor and defensively can affect a game in the paint. Before Wood heads to Blacksburg to play for Coach Seth Greenberg and the Virginia Tech Hokies, Wood averaged 24 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 blocks a game.
Coach Brantley Shields says, "He really shoots the ball well," said Shields of Wood, "He's really long. He's got a 7-foot-1 1/2-inch wingspan. He gets up off the floor really well. He handles the ball well, for his size, but he's going to have to get better. He is outstanding academically and has been a tremendous positive influence in our school and community."
Wood was named Seminole District Player of the Year, Region III Co-Player of the Year and will play in the ESBC All-Star game at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C.
