Marcus Banks - Patrick Henry Senior Guard

Patrick Henry Senior Guard

He averaged 20.1 points a game, 3.5 assists, 2.1 steals a game as a First team All-Western Valley District and First team All-Northwest Region selection.

In addition to his offensive skills that were on full display while setting the school's career points record with 1,511, he was also PH's best defender.

In his four year's as a varsity player, the Patriots won the district title three times and compiled a record of 86-25. Banks, who has a crazy competitive desire to win at everything, is 5 foot 5 inches but has received interest and offers from a number of schools including Maryland Eastern Shore and a large number of Division II schools.

Head coach Jack Esworthy jokingly said, "I'm depressed that he's graduating." Furthermore, "He's one of the most exciting players to watch. The range on his jump shots is deep. Opposing coaches can't believe it. His ball handling skills are unbelievable and he has great body control. You don't notice a diffference when he uses his left hand versus his right hand when finishing at the rim and he brings it every day in practice and elevates everyone's game."
