Danville, VA - Police say a Danville man is in critical condition after a car crash Thursday morning.
Officers say the 23-year-old was driving on Westover Drive around 7:24 a.m. when he hit two telephone poles and was thrown from the vehicle after hitting the second one.
EMS crews took him to Danville Regional Medical Center with what police say were serious injuries. Then, he was transported to Duke University Medical Center for treatment.
The victim's identity has not been released. Officials say he was driving a 1993 on Mazda Miata.
Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. They say speed was a factor in the accident.
