Bedford Co., VA - A man Bedford County deputies say was part of a breaking and entering gang that hit several homes has been sentenced to five years in prison.
Nathan Nelms was sentenced on Tuesday morning for attempted robbery where shots were fired into a Bedford County home back in January of 2013.
Nelms plead guilty to five charges for his role in the home invasion attempt. Deputies say the group is accused of shooting into a home on Centerville Road to rob the man who lived there.
The homeowners testified during a preliminary hearing in this case that two shots were fired into the house.
Kenneth Beaner, Durrell Brown, Juan Welton, and Augustus Xavier were also charged in connection to those crimes.
