Man Pleads Guilty to Hitting and Killing Amherst Co. Girl
Amherst Co., VA - A man accused of hitting and killing a young girl in Madison Heights pleaded guilty to two charges Thursday morning.
Dennis Allen pleaded guilty to driving as a habitual offender and driving on a suspended license resulting in death. A reckless driving charge was dropped.
Allen faces up to 10 years in prison at his sentencing in May.
Kamryn Johnson, 11, was riding her bike on Galts Mill Road when she was hit and killed last August.
According to search warrants, a pipe consistent with the use of illegal drugs was found in Allen's vehicle.
