Man Pleads Guilty To Bringing Weapons Into Airport
Roanoke, VA - A man arrested after being found trying to bring bladed weapons and a stun gun onto a plane will have to serve 70 days in jail. Michael Shane Burns pleaded guilty this morning to three misdemeanors related to the case. Burns was arrested May 14 after a struggle with police who were trying to get him to sign a summons. Burns was boarding a flight to Michigan at the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport when the weapons were found. In all he was sentenced to 15 months in jail with all but the 70 days suspended.
