Roanoke, VA - For months, friends of the late Eddie Moore reached out to country singer Eric Church hoping for a special dedication at his concert.
Thursday night in Roanoke, it happened.
"I promised I would do this. This one is for Eddie 'Moose' Moore," said Church at the concert.
The country singer played the song "Springsteen" on the piano in honor of Moore. He said it was the first song he'd ever dedicated and it now belonged to Moore.
The country singer also presented the family with a plaque.
All merchandise proceeds from the night went to the Lynchburg Humane society in memory of Moore as well.
Moore and John Hawkins were hit and killed by a drunk driver on Timberlake Road in Lynchburg earlier this year
