Man Killed at Party in Gladys, Suspect Charged With Murder

Campbell Co., VA - Campbell County officials have charged a Gladys man with second degree murder after they say he shot another man at a party early Saturday morning.

Captain Billy Crowe from the Campbell County Sheriff's Office says they got a call about the shooting at the 4000 block of Long Island Road in Gladys at around 2 a.m.

When they arrived, they found Ryan Travis Daniel, 24, of Concord, with a gunshot wound in his lower chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Later, the sheriff's office found and arrested Joshua Graves, 23. He's charged with second degree murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Witnesses told officials that there was a big party going on at the home when some sort of disagreement started between two groups of people. They say Graves then pulled out a firearm and shot Daniel.
