Man in Custody After Attempted Pharmacy Robbery

Roanoke, VA - A man is now in custody after police say he tried to rob a pharmacyRoanoke County Police say a Walgreens employee in the 4000 block of Brambleton Avenue called 911 around 8:00 Sunday night. Police say 39 year old William Ellis Roberson entered the building, went to the pharmacy and handed a note to the employee. According to police, the note demanded several medications. The employee then activated the emergency gate. Police say Roberson ran off but was later caught and charged with attempted robbery.
