Lynchburg, VA - A Lynchburg woman is growing banana trees outside her home.
Sharon Gregory was growing the trees back in August.
As of Monday, one tree has produced 15 ripe bananas, which isn't too bad for Virginia.
Gregory says right now she doesn't have enough bananas to go around.
"I put it on Facebook and everybody was just saying, 'Yay, Sharon's' got bananas." Everybody's wanting one but they're all gone now. I only got one left," Gregory says.
Gregory says once the weather warms up, she plans to replant and start the process all over again.
Bananas typically grow in the tropics where the average temperature is a humid 80 degrees.
