Lynchburg to Receive Historic Marker

Lynchburg, VA - Lynchburg will receive one of five historic markers that will honor important Virginians and Institutions.
The Virginia Department of Historic Resources says a marker will be installed in Lynchburg in recognition of C. W. Seay, an educator who fought for equal rights for African Americans.
Another marker will be installed in Petersburg in homage to the Bishop Payne Divinity School.
Three other markers will be installed in Bath County in honor of notable women in Virginia history.
