Lynchburg Police Charge Man in Big Horn Market Robbery
Lynchburg, VA - Lynchburg police have arrested a man they say robbed the Big Horn Market in Lynchburg Friday night.
LaQuan Dominic Morris, 18, has been charged with robbery and use of a firearm while in the commission of a felony.
Officials from the Lynchburg Police Department say they responded to the store on 612 Leesville Road for a call about an armed robbery around 10 p.m.
Police say witnesses told them a man dressed in all black walked into the store and appeared to have a gun under his shirt when he robbed the market.
Morris left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash in a brown paper bag. He tried to get away in a Chevrolet Trailblazer, but officers in the area stopped him within blocks of the market and arrested him.
He is currently being held at the Lynchburg Blue Ridge Regional Jail without bond.
