Lynchburg Police Charge Man for Liggates Rd. Rape
Lynchburg, VA - Lynchburg police have charged a man they say broke into a home on Liggates Road and raped a complete stranger.
Police arrested Richard Martin-Busher on Tuesday for allegedly trying to break into the Grand Home Furnishings Store on Fort Avenue.
By Wednesday, investigators charged him with walking into an unlocked home on Liggates Road on March 4, beating up and raping a middle aged woman.
According to Martin-Busher's Facebook page, he performed roofing work and handyman services in the Lynchburg area.
Police haven't said what may have brought him to Liggates Road that day. But they suspect he's responsible for even more property crimes.
He's scheduled to be in court in September.
