Lynchburg Man Sentenced for Sex Crimes Against Children
Lynchburg, VA - A high risk sex offender will serve five and a half years in prison for crimes against children.
A Lynchburg Circuit Court judge sentenced Andrew Scott Evans on Friday for three counts of possession of child pornography, two counts of aggravated sexual battery and taking indecent liberties with a child.
Prosecutors say Evans was arrested in December for touching two young girls at a school while he was working on an aquarium. They say school was not in session.
When he was arrested, police got a search warrant for his laptop and discovered child porn.
The judge sentenced him to 21 years in prison, with all but five and a half years suspended.
