Lynchburg Man Pleads Guilty to Charges Involving Sex With a Teen
Lynchburg, VA - A Lynchburg man pleaded guilty Friday to two charges involving sex with a 15-year-old boy.
Phillip Nelson, 56, pleaded guilty in Appomattox Circuit Court to forcible sodomy and taking indecent liberties.
Prosecutors say the victim was friends with Nelson's son and would ride along with them as Nelson made deliveries for work.
The victim eventually rode alone with Nelson on a few occasions, and back in April, prosecutors say Nelson got a motel room and forced the teen into sex acts.
The judge will rule on whether to accept the pleas at his sentencing hearing in March. He faces five years to life in prison for the sodomy charge alone.
