Lynchburg Fire Station on Fort Ave. Closed for Renovations

Lynchburg, VA - Lynchburg's fire station is closed for the next 60 to 90 days.

The building on Fort Avenue is undergoing some renovations; things like a new roof, floors, paint, bathroom fixtures and an electrical upgrade.

So to do that, both staff and the equipment had to move out.

They are at other fire stations around the city.

Officials say don't come by there if you have an emergency because no one is there.

They say residents who live nearby won't see a noticeable difference in response times.
