Lynchburg, VA - The Lynchburg Dog Park is inviting you and your pup to come out and learn about dog park etiquette.
The park off Monticello Avenue welcomes all dogs, but they are hosting some free training sessions targeting newcomers.
Organizers say not all owners or dogs understand certain rules that keep the environment fun for everyone. They will go over certain practices like cleaning up after your animals, keeping the tags on the dogs, and other social habits.
"A lot of newcomers this year that really don't know the rules and some people don't realize that even if their dog is a nice dog at home, he might not have the temperament that's suited for a dog park," said William "Thomas" Strayhorn, president of the Friends of Lynchburg Dog Park.
