Update Friday 10:45 a.m.:
According to dispatchers in Roanoke, Danville and Lynchburg, all roads have been opened back up to drivers Friday.
Several roads in Danville were closed Friday morning due to flooding, as were several in Roanoke and Lynchburg Thursday night.
The roads in Lynchburg that were closed Thursday included parts of Campbell Avenue, Lakeside Drive, Wythe Road and McConville Road.
Lynchburg, VA - All that flooding led to numerous road closures in parts of Lynchburg Thursday night.
At the peak of all that heavy rainfall Thursday afternoon, Lynchburg Police officers say six city roads were shut down due to heavy flooding.
During rush hour, so many folks headed home from work at the worst of all this flooding.
Police officers say for two solid hours, they were getting non-stop hazard calls of blocked or washed out roads.
This, of course, because the ground here is so saturated from all this rain that we've been getting so far this summer.
