Lynchburg Cyclists Bring Safety Awareness

Lynchburg, VA -{}This week is Lynchburg Bike Week Event. Wednesday night more than 50 cyclists gathered at the Boonsboro Kroger for a special ride.

The cyclists rode in a "Ride Of Silence" in honor of those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways. The only rule of the ride is that cyclists don't go faster than 12 miles per hour on the route.

Organizers wanted to bring awareness that cyclists have a legal right to share the road with motorists.
