Lynchburg, VA - The young and the young at heart spent some quality time together Friday. Lynchburg College put on this event.
The goal is to raise awareness about Alzheimer's and dementia. It allowed college students in our community to meet and talk with senior citizens as well as keep their minds and bodies in top shape.
The event allowed the different generations to exercise together, get some door prizes, even enjoy a lunch together.
"I like being around young people. Because, ya know, they like to talk and you learn a lot from them," said Loretta Granger.
"And they learn a lot from you," we asked. "Yep, yep," said Granger.
This is the fourth year for the event. LC's Beard Center on Aging with help from area senior living centers organize this event.
