Lynchburg City Schools Giving Tours for Education Week

Lynchburg, VA - Schools in Lynchburg opened their doors to the public Tuesday morning for American Education Week.

At each elementary, middle and high school, you could take tours and meet parents of students along with school administrators.

LCS has taken part for three years now.

Linkhorne Principal Kathleen Sawyer says you don't have to wait for a day like this to learn more about the school system.

"Please don't hesitate to come visit us if you have missed this opportunity to come. Remember that Lynchburg City Schools always has it doors open. We would love to have you anytime."

American Education Week continues with an Educator for a Day program.

From local engineers to politicians, there will be more than 20 guest teachers in classes.
