Lynchburg, VA - Lynchburg City Schools is offering a new incentive to get teachers to come to this area.
They partnered with the Economic Development Authority to offer up to eight thousand dollars in a housing stipend for math and science teachers that commit to a three year agreement to teach in the City.
It's only for sixth through 12th grade teachers.
The program provides a five thousand dollar housing stipend for the first year and two thousand and one thousand respectively over the next two years.
It's all to get better teachers in the school system.
